800+Million Disabled Women Need Our Voice!
Did you know that 1 out of 5 women in the world have some form of disability? With a global population of 8.1 Billion, that amounts to a staggering 800 million disabled women that suffer abuse, discrimination and stigma due to their gender and disability!
At the very recent CSW68, our panel presented not only about the multiple problems that plague rural poor women, such as Cervical Cancer, the incredibly high maternal/infant mortality rates, inaccessible healthcare education and services, as well as the ongoing damages that women suffer from domestic violence and abuse but the shocking fact that 800+ Million Women in the world (or 10% of our global population) are being left far behind in the race to meet the global goals. And the question remains – what can be done?
What can you do?
As CSW68 comes to a close, we ask you to join us in advocacy for improved healthcare education for those who are being left behind. Let’s raise our voices together as we march towards equity and equality for all!
