Students Get Serious When it Comes to Disease Prevention!
STIs are on the rise in America so when Texas A&M’s Public Health Class PHLT 303 gave students the opportunity to create awareness videos about this alarming increase, they went to work! In support of World Health Day (April 7th) and STI Awareness Week (April 13-19) we have 16 videos that are each well done and are spreading the word: STIs can be prevented! It’s up to you!
Here’s the link to our awareness video collection. Enjoy!!

Some background information:
Sexually transmitted infections are on the rise in the United States with the highest rates of infection found in adolescents (15–24 years of age). Studies show that one of the main reasons for the increase in STI rates is a lack of education and awareness about safe sex practices.
Texas A&M PHLT 303 students were tasked with the objective of creating an awareness video as a means of informing community members about STI’s, how they are spread and the consequences of risky behavior that can cause lifelong health problems.
